Love, Joy, Peace...

What is a Cowboy Church?

At Bryant Lane, we are a little different than most “traditional” churches, but even though our look is not traditional, we are still a CHRIST-CENTERED, non-denominational group of people from all backgrounds who gather to worship God.

It doesn’t matter if you live in the city or work on a ranch, ride an iron horse or a quarter horse, wear boots or tennis shoes.  Our goal is simple, helping everyone along their trail called life.

We want you to come as you are, but not to leave like you came!

The GOAL of the Cowboy church is to reach the lost and unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide teaching so they can become more like Him in an atmosphere that honors the western heritage.

We do this by holding to these values:

* Simplicity – Since BLCC’s focus is centered on the western lifestyle,  our focus is on straightforward teaching so that those not accustomed to a church setting will feel welcome.

* Non-Judgemental Approach – We all make mistakes, and nobody is perfect.  We don’t care about your past or your present, only about your future.  We accept people just as they are, just as Christ Himself does.

* Elimination of Barriers – A lot of people don’t feel comfortable going to traditional church so we try to eliminate “churchy” things.  Things that would cause you to feel anxious, nervous, or left out are the things we want to remove.

* The Holy Spirit and  Bible Is Our Guide  – We don’t have all the answers but we will help you find them in the Bible.  God gave us His instruction manual for all of us to understand.

What Do We Believe?

- We believe the Bible is the Word of God and has everything that God wants us to know.  It is our map for this trail of life.

- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God Who died to save us from our sins.

- We believe we are saved by Grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a gift from God and there is nothing we can do to earn it on our own

- We believe baptism is the means by which we publicly profess our faith in Christ and identify ourselves with His death, burial, and resurrection.  It does not get anyone to Heaven.
